Making Quality Eye Care More Affordable
At North Texas Eye Clinic, we accept a variety of vision insurance plans to help make routine eye care, prescription glasses, and contact lenses more affordable.
Vision insurance typically provides benefits toward comprehensive routine eye exams, eyeglass lenses, frames, and contact lenses. However, coverage varies depending on your specific insurance plan.
Our friendly team is happy to help verify your benefits and explain your available coverage before your appointment.
Vision Insurance Plans We Accept
We participate in select plans and networks offered by the following vision insurance providers:
- AlwaysCare / First Look Vision
- Etopia
- EyeMed Vision Care
- Humana Vision
- Superior Vision
- VSP (Vision Service Plan)
Please note: Participation and benefits may vary by plan and network. We recommend contacting our office to confirm that your specific plan is accepted.
What Does Vision Insurance Typically Cover?
Depending on your plan, vision insurance benefits may include:
- Routine Eye Exams: Comprehensive evaluations to assess your vision and determine your eyeglass prescription.
- Prescription Eyeglasses: Allowances or discounts toward frames and prescription lenses.
- Contact Lenses: Benefits toward contact lens purchases, often in place of eyeglass benefits.
- Contact Lens Evaluations: Some plans provide partial coverage or discounts for contact lens fitting services.
- Lens Enhancements: Certain plans may offer benefits or discounts for lens upgrades, such as anti-reflective coatings, progressive lenses, or photochromic lenses.
Your specific coverage, copayments, allowances, and benefit frequency depend on your insurance policy.
Out-of-Network Vision Insurance
We may also assist patients who have vision insurance through companies where our office is not currently an in-network provider.
These may include:
- Spectera / OptumHealth / UnitedHealthcare Vision
- Davis Vision
- FEP BlueVision
If you have one of these plans, you may still be able to receive services at our office and request reimbursement through your insurance company, depending on your policy.
How Do I File an Out-of-Network Claim?
If your vision insurance offers out-of-network benefits, the process is generally simple:
- Verify Your Benefits: Contact your insurance company to confirm whether out-of-network services are eligible for reimbursement.
- Schedule Your Appointment: Visit North Texas Eye Clinic for your eye examination, glasses, or contact lens services.
- Pay at the Time of Service: Out-of-network services and products generally require payment at the time of your visit.
- Request an Itemized Receipt: Our team can provide the documentation you may need to submit a reimbursement claim.
- Submit Your Claim: Follow your insurance company’s instructions for requesting reimbursement.
Reimbursement amounts and eligibility vary by plan and are not guaranteed.
